Golden Boy Promotions acted quickly in releasing a statement clearing the name of their fighter, Lamont Peterson. Peterson was accused of failing a drug test after his 8th round KO of Kendall Holt.
Golden Boy had this to say about the situation:

Lamont Peterson was impressive in his KO of Kendall Holt, which came after his nearly two year lay-off from boxing. That lay off happened because Peterson’s win over Amir Kahn was quickly tainted by a positive test containing Synthetic Testosterone.
Peterson was thought to be in better shape during the Holt fight than he was two years prior and his build naturally garnered sceptics...
