If the Clippers had an award for unsung hero, it would go to Willie Green.
He plays when needed. He sits without complaint. This season, he has started 50 games, but he has also been a DNP (did not play) nine times.
Willies a pro, coach Vinny Del Negro said after the Clippers 29-point victory over the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday night. Hes always prepared. Hes one of the first guys in the gym and one of the last guys to leave. Hes going to stay ready.
Staying ready is an essential part of Greens job. He started the teams first 14 games while guard Chauncey Billups rehabilitated a torn left Achilles tendon. He sat the next three after Billups returned, but returned to the starting lineup after Billups went down again, this time with tendinitis in his left foot.
In fact, when Billups has gone down, Green has stood up. He started against the Sixers his first start since Feb. 11 to give Billups time to rest a groin injury. Billups indicated he could return Saturday night when the...

BIZARRO LOB CITY
The Los Angeles Clippers connected on their league leading 5,000,000th alley-oop last night, and it was so nice they did it twice. Check out the rather unorthodox Blake Griffin to DeAndre Jordan connection which was locked and loaded last night. [NBA] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
The Los Angeles Clippers have enjoyed some great success this season, even more than their LA counterpart, the Lakers. While much credit can be given to the veteran leadership of Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups, the overall improvement of Blake Griffin, must be noted. While Griffin has been known for his highlight dunks and mean stare downs after putting a defender on the poster...
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul broke out an epic flop for the ages during his team’s game against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night in the epically named Sleep Train Arena. I mean CP3′s flop was as bad as what happened to Ishtar (look it up). And with much, much worse acting.
It could be argued that Paul’s abysmal display wasn’t technically a flop since he...
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul has been known to provide a quality flop in the midst of heated NBA games. Whether you look at it as deceiving or weak, the crafty little point guard has almost got it down to a science with his flops. Strategically doing them when the Clippers might need point or momentum needs to be changed.
Last night Lob City was in Sacramento...
Ok, this was a decent dunk from Caron Butler on 7-1 Spencer Hawes. But the real highlight on this one is the call from the Clippers broadcaster.
Caron Butler “delivers a facial on Spencer Hawes.”
“Give him a toothpick to pick out that leather from his teeth.”
Good work, Clippers broadcaster guy.

Whenever anyone talks about dunking in the immediate future they will not be able to do so without mentioning the Los Angeles Clippers as hands down the best dunking team in the NBA. The team affectionately known as Lob City makes the most high-flying and acrobatic of dunks look easy.
Allow me to enter the following clip from Wednesday night's game as evidence!
Chris Paul should be ashamed of himself, and judging my my Twitter feed he won’t stop hearing about it for quite some time. This is truly a flop that soccer players would be proud of. Suspension forthcoming?

Chris Paul appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno Thursday night to talk hoops, getting acclimated to driving around LA, having his jersey retired at Wake Forest, little Chris hanging out courtside with Justin Bieber and being high school class president and in charge of his upcoming 10 year class reunion.
“My ten year class reunion is coming up this summer, and guess...
Remember when the NBA came out with stern language about flopping? (P)layers will face the possibility of stiff punishment for trying to trick the referees into a foul that wasn’t warranted. Commissioner David Stern issued an edict that he hopes will make flopping go the way of the four-corner offense and the short shorts.
The rule change hasn’t stopped league golden boy Chris...
Following one of their worst defensive games of the season, the Los Angeles Clippers put together perhaps their best performance in their last contest.
They may face a stiffer challenge trying to contain the Brooklyn Nets, who haven't had any trouble scoring so far on their road trip.
The Pacific Division-leading Clippers will try to claim back-to-back victories for the first...
