A person familiar with the decision says Tulane's next head coach will be Saints wide receiver coach Curtis Johnson.
The person, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the hiring has not been announced, says Johnson could be introduced as early as Monday, and the Saints declined comment.

Curtis Johnson says it's a dream come true to get his first head coaching job in his hometown and at a university he always admired. Johnson, who was formally introduced Monday as Tulane's new coach, says he understands what it takes to win on the highest levels of football and predicts that the Green Wave will play for trophies in coming seasons.
