The Florida Gators have owned Georgia for most of the last 21 years. Only three times in that span have the Bulldogs come out on the winning side of the border war rivalry. 2011 is a different season and not many on this Florida team have experienced too many victories over the Dawgs. Still, there are some things working in Florida's favor leading into the game.

Florida coach Will Muschamp said all week senior John Brantley would start against Georgia today unless something “shocking” happened. Apparently, Brantley was healthy enough to play and he took the first snap against the Bulldogs this afternoon in Jacksonville.
