The game to the Wizards is not the only thing the Heat lost last night. Point guard Mario Chalmers tore a tendon in his left finger, which could reportedly leave him out of up to five games. Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel reports.Chalmers tore a tendon and will be out at least seven to 10 days, according to a source. The injury occurred in the first half of the Heat’s 105-101 loss. Chalmers was taken to the locker room, returning for the second half with his finger in a splint. “I caught a pass,” Chalmers said after the game. “Somehow my finger got caught in the ball.”“It’s hard to say right now,” Chalmers said. “I got to go back to the team doctor and see what they say. All I can tell you is it’s the top part of my ring finger. We’ll see. I’ll get it checked out (Wednesday) and go from there.” Despite being labelled a point guard, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade bring up the ball several times throughout the game. It's unorthodox, but generally it's been working. This year, Chalmers hasn't been performing as well. Despite averaging 4.3 assists per game, Chalmers is averaging a career-low in points per game at 6.4 along with a career-low 39.6% from the field, 31.6% from beyond the arc and just 66.7% from the free throw line.Norris Cole would typically replace Chalmers, but Cole did not play against the Wizards due to a groin strain. The Heat are hopeful of a return soon since he was able to complete a workout Tuesday morning. Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
