Veteran center Jochen Hecht has reached agreement with the Buffalo Sabres on a one-year contract, the team announced Sunday. Hecht, 35, ranks 20th in Sabres history in games played, goals and points. He has 133 goals and 198 points in 566 regular-season games with Buffalo. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed by the Sabres, but the one-year deal is believed to be worth $1 million.
