Jason Zucker took out Kyle Clifford’s legs and was handed a two-minute penalty for tripping. As Clifford fell to the ice, his skates flew up and crashed against Zucker’s face. The situation looked grim, but remarkably Zucker escaped a serious injury and returned to the ice later in the game.
That was a close shave. (We’ll show ourselves the door)

Zucker, a restricted free agent this offseason, signed a two-year contract with Minnesota on Tuesday. The deal includes a two-way option in 2014-15 that could see him sent to the team's American Hockey League affiliate in Iowa, and a one-way contract for 2015-16.
