Whenever you have a game with Kobe Bryant in it you would think that there would be at least one or two on court highlights that would stand out, but when the Black Mamba only scores four points that isn't the case. Now we could show some love to Dwight Howard on a night when the big man gave the Lakers Nation something to watch finally with 18 points and 19 boards--pretty much what the team expected when it went after Superman. But this clip of Will Ferrell acting as if he is part of the Staples Center security team is too funny. Sorry Dwight; I'll show you some love next time man. [Cosby Sweaters]

Will Ferrell poses as an usher, ejects Shaq

I guess since the Los Angeles Lakers’ season has become sort of a joke, it might be time to just embrace the humor. Last night the Lakers did just that, letting Will Ferrell stand in as an usher during the game against the Phoenix Suns. Actually, I cannot say for sure that the Lakers let him do this, or if Will just decided he would put on the uniform and stand there and since...

Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin exchange dunks

In Thursday night's NBA matchup between the Los Angeles rivals at the Staples Center, Clippers star Blake Griffin and Lakers star Kobe Bryant exchanged slam dunks in the third quarter. Griffin's dunk came off a perfect lob pass from Clippers guard Chris Paul midway through the third quarter. A minute later, Bryant beat Clippers guard Jamal Crawford one-on-one and threw...

Will Ferrell Ejected Shaquille O’Neal From Last Night’s Lakers Game

Say what you want about actor/comedian Will Ferrell – he’s washed up, past his prime, a shell of his former self, he should have stopped after Anchorman, he should take a few years off to come up with a new project that would totally wow us, The Campaign was awful, he yells too much, the only people happy about Anchorman 2 are aging frat boys* in need of fresh happy hour material...

Kobe Bryant upset with teammates for laughing, joking after blowout loss

The Los Angeles Lakers went into the All-Star break on a poor note, and Kobe Bryant is not happy about it. The Lakers were blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers 125-101 at Staples Center Thursday night in the NBA’s last game before the All-Star break. The contest was showcased by TNT as the second half of what was expected to be a great doubleheader. Much like the first game,...

Kobe Bryant On His Shooting Struggles: I Can’t Be In A Slump

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant does his thing anytime he chooses to.  At the drop of a dime, if Kobe wants to prove something to naysayers, he will. If Kobe hears that he’s shooting too much, he will go out, pass the ball, rebound the ball, and pass up shots just to prove a point. Bryant started the season scorching from the field, shooting 46.3% from the field.  He’s come back to...

Will Ferrell Ejects Shaq From Staples Center

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns 91-85 on Wednesday night and it was quite uneventful, at least as far as the teams and players. The lone highlight of the night came from the always funny Will Ferrell who suited up as an usher and even ejected Shaq from his court-side seat. We aren’t sure why exactly Will was there, but we wouldn’t have any trouble wagering that...

Will Ferrell plays security guard at Lakers game, kicks out Shaquille O'Neal (video)

Will Ferrell posed as a red-coat wearing security guard at Tuesday night's Lakers game, and the comedian wasn't to be messed with. Just ask Shaq. For some reason, Ferrell puts Shaquille O'Neal out in handcuffs and leads him out of Staples Center. Hope someone can bail the Diesel out of the arena jail in time for his TNT gig.

Kobe Bryant wonders about the commitment of his own teammates

The Los Angeles Lakers are a struggling team.  They have become the laughingstock of the entire league.  With such talent, they cannot seem to put together what they have. After [...]

Kobe Dismisses Shooting Slump

Kobe Bryant's shooting percentage has decreased each month since the start of the season.

Michael Jordan Says He’d Choose Kobe Bryant Over LeBron James

In an interview with NBA TV (set to air Monday), Michael Jordan weighed in on a popular debate around the NBA – Kobe Bryant or LeBron James? via Ira Winderman, Sun Sentinel: “If you had to pick between the two, that would be a tough choice,” Jordan, now owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, told program host Ahmad Rashard, “but five beats one every time I look at it.” “And...

Count it! An-twan!

I’m feeling like Kobe Bryant today, uninspired! Last night Kobe, who is averaging 20.7 FGA per game attempted only 8 shots and aborted 7 of them. That means he missed 7 of 8 in case you’re trying to do the math. Reverse psychology! Not really. Anyway, while Kobe was busy day dreaming about Jason Kidd’s ex-wife, Antawn Jamison stepped up with 19/10/1 and 2 threes in 33 minutes...

Top 5 Lakers of all-time: Does Kobe belong?

Former Lakers head coach Brown, knew D’Antoni was in trouble

Former L.A. Lakers head coach Mike Brown is one of the nicest guys in the NBA, however, that doesn’t always translate to much. Appearing on ESPN radio with Colin Cowherd he shed some light on being fired and replaced by Mike D’Antoni. Cowherd asked what his feelings were when released or fired and Brown responded with “I was shocked.” Only a few games into the season one...

Howard expects to play in All-Star game

Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant were elected starters for Sunday night's NBA All-Star game in Houston. Despite playing through a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Howard said Monday that he expects to play. "If I re-aggravate my shoulder in these next two games, I'll probably just play a couple of minutes and sit the rest out," Howard said. Coach Mike D'Antoni...
