I love when NHLers get to star in “This is SportsCenter” commercials, in my opinion it doesn’t happen enough. The commercials themselves are absolutely classic, and it’s always good to see a fresh face get a shot at starring in the commercial. Pairing Henrik Lundqvist with Swedish Chef is absolutely outstanding and the mastermind behind this should be commended. My guess is that they’ve been waiting for the NHL Lockout to end to release this commercial, and with the season starting Saturday, this commercial is a great way to kick off the weekend.[YouTube]

'BORK, BORK, BORK!'
Henrik Lundqvist might have just found his new best friend around the ESPN offices. Everyone's favorite chef from The Muppets, Swedish Chef, has joined the ESPN ranks and is dishing out culinary insight to all those that will listen. Unfortunately, only fellow Swede Henrik Lundqvist can understand what he's saying...which is rather impressive. [follow]
After a 100-and-some-day lockout, the NHL returned on Saturday, featuring the Kings hoisting a Stanley Cup banner in Los Angeles, the Flyers losing to the Penguins in Philadelphia, and the New York Rangers opening up the season in Boston against the Bruins.
Rangers’ goalie Henrik Lundqvist was not his usual Swedish self, allowing three goals in a 3-1 loss to the Bruins. Perhaps...
As with every single one of their “This Is SportsCenter” commercials, you will finish watching ESPN’s latest ad and crack a smile. The premise is incredible hard to understand but the YouTube description breaks it down thankfully. “SportsCenter cafeteria has a new chef and Henrik Lundqvist is the only person that can understand him.” See, that wasn’t too difficult...

Rangers star netminder made an apperance in the latest "This Is Sportscenter" commercial. In this episode, the ESPN cafeteria has a new chef, and the only person who can understand him is Henrik Lundqvist...
... Wait, did I just see ESPN acknowledge hockey? Must have been dreaming.
... No Carl Hagelin cameo either? Lame.

My hair so sexy.
Well, the Rangers lost last night. Not only did they lose, but they looked awful in the process. They were rusty, sluggish, sloppy, and looked like they needed another week of training camp. They took bad penalties, and missed defensive zone coverages more often than I can count. The only good thing is that Henrik Lundqvist looked to be in midseason form.
If you want one word to sum up the New York Rangers tonight feel free to use sloppy. The Rangers were defeated 3-1 by the Boston Bruins and were second best in almost every facet. Throughout the season the goals in each game (as well as a brief game summary) will be broken down right here so keep on coming back. Let’s get in to it.
