First it was a game of catch with his kid, then it was a clumsy fall out of his automobile, now there's a report that Myers was, in fact, injured in a bar brawl. Randy Miller reports, "The real story, according to team sources, is that Myers was punched in the face Friday night during an altercation in or outside of Shannon's Irish Pub in Jacksonville, Fla., his hometown." Whatever story you believe, the real truth remains a mystery. Which leads me to the important yet completely irrelevant question of how you think this black eye could have happened? My guess below.
For instance, I think Brett could have been sitting at home, watching episode after episode of WWE Raw that he had DVR'd for a special occasion when he found some alone time. Then, for some inexplicable reason, his phone rang, causing him to get up from his couch to go answer it. On the other line was none other than MLB studio announcer Mitch Williams rambling on about how Brett needs to keep his shoulder in and not open up so much on delivery. Brett took the advice in stride but things got heated when the two started arguing over what's the better light beer, Bud or Milwaukee's Best. Everyone knows Brett's a Bud Light guy, so Mitch trying to convince him otherwise set him off. This led to Myers throwing his phone against the wall. You'd think the story would end there but the phone actually bounced off the wall, off the replica Ford F150 Brett has on his mantle piece, and knocked his favorite bowling ball of the shelf which somehow took an incredibly strange trajectory, defying gravity magic bullet style, and hit Myers in the face, leaving Myers with a black eye. I mean, it could have happened that way.
How do you think it really happened? Bonus points for creativity. I have faith in you all.
