A little over a week ago, I outlined which players Eagles fans should pay attention to at the Combine based on recent mock drafts.
The positions of most interest were among those who worked out in Indianapolis yesterday–linebackers and defensive tackles. The DT class is deeper than that of the linebackers, which makes many think that the Eagles may be more likely to take someone at this position as a top pick over a line backer.
So, how did the prospects perform? The names that have been named most often as possible 1st-round picks for the Eagles are B ston College’s Luke Kuechly, Fletcher Cox of Mississippi State, and Penn State’s Devon Still.
ILB Luke Kuechly (6’3, 242), Boston College – A good day for Kuechly, who exhibited impressive speed and great overall athleticism. Ran the 40 in 4.58 seconds, third fastest among the linebackers. He had a 38 inch vertical jump, benched 27 reps (the only category in which he was not a top performer), and did the 3- cone drill in 6.92 seconds....
