The Indianapolis Colts have released DT Ed Johnson, the Indianapolis Star and other sources are reporting. Johnson, who was released by the team following a marijuana-related arrest early last season, re-signed this past offseason shortly after the 2009 NFL Draft. He served a one-game suspension and had started the last four games. The Star reported that the Colts had no comment on the move. IFR Analysis: This news, while perhaps not a complete shock, is sad well beyond the obvious football ramifications for the Colts. The Colts will have no comment on roster moves until Wednesday and it has not yet been reported the reasons for Johnson's release, but whatever the reason, it's hard to imagine him getting another chance at the NFL. As talented as he is, no one signed him last season after his release from the Colts, and there's almost no way Johnson will get another chance with the Colts.
