Jim Irsay says team officials are even more impressed with Andrew Luck after a three-hour meeting Tuesday in Indianapolis. The Colts owner wrote on Twitter that it's easy to see why Luck and the No. 1 pick have been synonymous for two years. Irsay has said the Colts will take a quarterback with the No. 1 pick in this month's NFL draft. And while there have strong indications the Colts will take Luck, neither Irsay nor general manager Ryan Grigson have said the Stanford quarterback will be the choice for Indy. Luck is considered the most NFL-ready quarterback since 1998 when Peyton Manning was taken No. 1 overall by the Colts. Indy released Manning last month, a move that led many to believe Luck would be the No. 1 pick April 26.

Irsay hints about Colts taking Luck

It's seemed like a foregone conclusion that the Colts will take Andrew Luck with the first overall pick. Jim Irsay continues to hint that will be the case.

Sad Redskins Fans Already Getting RG3 License Plates

C’mon, Jim Irsay! Pull the trigger on the biggest flip-flop in NFL Draft history by taking Robert Griffin III instead of Andrew Luck. Ruin the license plates that are starting to show up in and around Washington D.C. proclaiming the love for the likely new Redskins QB. Dan Steinberg at D.C. Sports Bog writes that one fan even has Luck plates on reserve just in case Irsay goes...

He's just a rookie

Jim Irsay essentially said the Colts are taking Andrew Luck with the first pick of the 2012 NFL draft. Paul Kuharsky and Trent Dilfer agree that despite high expectations we all need to temper our hopes: I think that final plea is an important one, and one we’ll probably need to circle back to over and over. Even if Luck is more prepared than Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning were...

Colts owner Irsay keeps gushing over Luck

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is laying it on pretty thick in regard to his admiration of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. Once again, Irsay took to Twitter to share his feelings. "Met with A Luck $12 (in) Indy 2day (for) 3 hrs; it's easy (to see) why the #1 pick (and) this Stanford phenom has been synonymous with each other 4 over 2 yrs," Irsay tweeted. The...

Unquiet on the Western Front: Andrew Luck, Brock Osweiler, and more.

(Unquiet on the Western Front is SWRT's look at the Pac-12, WAC, Mountain West, and other West Coast/Rocky Mountain schools extravaganza.) Face-to-face with the future. Former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck met for two hours Tuesday with officials from the Indianapolis Colts, the team most likely to make him the No. 1 pick in...

Stanford's coordinators work to replace starters

Pep Hamilton put his hands on his forehead, closed his eyes and scrunched his face. When it comes to talking about the quarterback competition, Stanford's offensive coordinator is still searching for the answers. Same goes for the rest of the Cardinal's reconstruction. Hamilton and defensive coordinator Derek Mason held an informal roundtable discussion with a small group...

Top Ten Tweets From People Who Never Heard Of KSK Kontent Klearinghouse

- I wondered yesterday whether Redskins fans would ever express their RGIII loinfire away from the tidy confines of their obnoxious vanity license plates. The answer came but hours later, when a guy attending Monday Night Raw held aloft a giant RGIII head. Then Jim Irsay came out and said he was drafting RGIII for Team Smackdown, then Brock Lesnar ran out to deliver the F5 on him...

Q&A: Brett Nottingham

The biggest storyline of Stanford’s spring camp is the battle to replace Andrew Luck, and Brett Nottingham is the man at the center of that story. After redshirting his freshman year, Nottingham beat out two older players to win the backup job last season, showing flashes of brilliance whenever he came in for mop-up duty.
