There is little doubt the need that Florida has for cornerback help in the 2014 class. After only signing one corner in 2013 and the 2012 class as well, a minimum of three will have to do for this class. The Gators are going after the very best the state of Florida has to offer and that includes J.C. Jackson. Jackson attended junior day on Saturday and was committed to Florida State at the time.

No one said it would happen right away. The Gators opened the 2013 season and showed their youth in all facets of the game. Freshmen made errors, sophomores walked people and the whole lineup tried to do too much at the plate. For a team that has talented but no experience, opening night shouldn’t have been a surprised, as the Gators dropped it 4-3 to Duke.
The Auburn basketball team faces the 20-3 Florida Gators on Saturday at the Auburn Arena.
Midway through the third quarter of the 1976 Georgia-Florida game (the first between the schools when both were ranked in the top ten), Coach Dickey's failed call on 4th down and less than a yard inside his own 30-yard line was the turning point of the eventual Bulldog victory.
The Gators, who entered the game three-point underdogs, dominated the first half and held...
The Gators are hoping they’ve learned. After getting pounded at Arkansas during their last road game on February 5, No. 7 Florida hits the road on Saturday at Auburn for the first game in a stretch of three out of four on the road. Facing an Auburn team that’s 3-8 in conference play shouldn’t be as much of a challenge on paper, but the Gators are preparing for every team’s best shot.
The Gators bounced back after losing their season-opening game against Duke Friday night to clinch the series with a 16-5 victory. Zack Powers, who nailed two grand slams Sunday talks about the win along with RHP Ryan Harris and coach Kevin O'Sullivan.
Saturday was about forgetting opening night for the Gators. After getting off to a slow start on Friday night, Florida didn’t waste time changing that Saturday afternoon. The Gators got on the board with a three-run home run from sophomore second baseman Casey Turgeon in the first inning and took advantage of four Duke errors while securing a 4-2 win over the Blue Devils on Saturday.
The Florida Gators continue their Junior Day roll along the offensive line with a commitment from Deland offensive tackle ben Knox. The 6-5, 265 pound Knox visited Gainesville on Saturday and is in transit home when we were able to catch up with his coach James Thomson. Thomson is new to Deland and will start coaching the Bulldogs in the 2013 season, but likes what he knows of his star pupil.
In the middle of the junior day festivities, it leaked out that Jacksonville Raines offensive lineman Travaris Dorsey went ahead and pulled the trigger for the Florida Gators. We caught up briefly with Dorsey to confirm the news and will have more later.
