NFL Injury Report:
The Jacksonville Jaguars lost running back Rashad Jennings
and wide receiver Cecil Shorts after each player suffered a concussion during
yesterday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, reports the Associated Press.
Coach Mike Mularkey said Jennings’ status is uncertain
because the player will have to pass a series of NFL-mandated tests before he
can be cleared to play.
That will also be the case for Jaguars leading receiver,
Cecil Shorts III, who sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter.
Jennings sustained his head injury in the second quarter of
yesterday’s game. The running back was tripped up during a 12-yard run and was
injured when linebacker Nick Barnett landed on him. Montell Owens took over for
the Jaguars, who are already without starter Maurice Jones-Drew due to injury.
Shorts was injured in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s
matchup after making a five-yard catch. After receiving the ball, Shorts ducked
his head and was hit by Bills cornerback Ron Brooks, who led with his head and
was flagged for a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty.

Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings injured his head during Sunday's game against Buffalo and will not return.Fantasy Spin:The Jacksonville running game has seen better days to say the least. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived Clint Session, parting ways with the veteran linebacker who has missed significant time following three concussions.
The team also waived tight end Maurice Stovall and signed fullback Will Ta'ofu'ou to the practice squad.
Session sustained three concussions last season and had been on the physically unable...
The ROAR of the Jaguars might be the only bright spot coming out of Jacksonville’s 2012 season. The Jaguars are on their way to a 2-14 season and will be forced to settle on Matt Barkley next year. Oh well, at least they have some of the sexiest cheerleaders in the NFL.
They put their best and brightest girls on the pages of the 2013 swimsuit calendar and the girls look even better...
Coach Mike Mularkey took the blame for keeping veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis on the sideline in Buffalo.
Mularkey said Monday he ''just made a mistake'' by sticking with second-year player Kevin Rutland in a 34-18 loss to the Bills.
Rutland got beat for a 51-yard gain on Buffalo's opening drive, which ended with a touchdown, and looked lost on Stevie Johnson...
Tis’ the season for giving, and the Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders are kind enough to give us a behind-the-scenes look at their 2013 swimsuit calendar photo shoot. The Jaguars football team has not exactly had too many highlights this season as they are struggling mightily with a 2-10 record and sit tied for the worst record in the league. Given their struggles we felt it...
Despite the Jacksonville Jaguars injury issues at running
back it doesn’t appear they will be getting Maurice Jones-Drew back this
weekend. Coach Mike Mularkey told reporters, including Michael David Smith of
ProFootballTalk.com, that Jones-Drew is “very questionable” for Sunday’s
matchup against the New York Jets.
Just not a very good chance: Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey...
This video was shot in Vieques Island, Puerto Rico of the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders. Finally people have learned from the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders. Last year they dropped the video of themselves singing "call me maybe" by Carly Rae and got almost 15 million hits on YouTube. I'm guessing that was pretty good free promotion for their swimsuit calender. ...
Fantasy Football News - Cecil Shorts took a massive shot to the head late in Sunday’s game against Buffalo. He will not return.
FFLockerRoom Take - While this is bad news as he very well could have suffered a concussion, he did put in an excellent game for his fantasy owners going for almost 80 yards and a touchdown. Stay tuned to FFLockerRoom throughout the week to see if Shorts...
Jaguars receivers Cecil Shorts III (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against Buffalo.Fantasy Spin:Shorts returned to practice Friday. He's totaled 463 yards and three touchdowns over the last five games.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will play against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Neither team is in the playoff hunt but both are already experimenting for next season.
Jacksonville seems to have resigned from seeing Blaine Gabbard (injured, demoted) as a cornerstone of their future. They will continue to play Chad Henne the rest of the way as they attempt to see if...
