Simple question. Why hasn’t Tony Romo been putting in “Peyton-Type” work from the beginning? That should be disturbing to Cowboys fans. Here is what Jerry Jones had to say. Quarterback Tony Romo will have much more input on which plays are in the game plan.  Owner/general manager Jerry Jones said part of his agreement with Romo, who signed a seven-year, $119.5 million contract extension this offseason, was the quarterback would spend “Peyton Manning-type time” at the facility. Jerry Jones makes a point of saying, this has nothing to do with taking power away from head coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Bill Callahan, but the reality is Jerry Jones is the coach. Until Jerry Jones allows his football people to do their jobs, it will hold back the Cowboys.

Are the Dallas Cowboys planning the unexpected?? An actual high scoring Offense....

The Dallas Cowboys made some surprise picks in this years draft for sure. Everyone thought Defense was the going to rule the board but it was the opposite for the Dallas Cowboys. I am a Cowboy fan and the 31st pick gave them flexibility they didn’t have last year and as I have discussed before also gets them younger at skilled positions. What a great choice to have Whitten help...

Cowboys FB Lawrence Vickers underwent back surgery

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the Dallas Morning News  that fullback Lawrence Vickers underwent back surgery this past Friday. Jones said the surgery will limit Vickers this off-season, however. “He is going to be fine,” Jones said. “It is not a concern.” Vickers, who turns 30 on May 8, is under contract for $1.2 million in 2013. Jones was asked if he should pay...

NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys Select Tight End Gavin Escobar

Jerry strikes again. I’m not thrilled with this pick, but at least they didn’t take a running back. God I hate myself for saying that. This pick is going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. We have Jason Witten, although he’s getting older. We’ve also got James Hanna. Hanna actually showed me [...]The post NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys Select Tight End Gavin Escobar appeared...

Cowboys Draft CB B.W. Webb #114, 4th Round

The Cowboys draft B.W. Webb, CB, William & Mary with the #114 of the 4th round. Depth was a need and adding Webb gives us another guy to fill in the departed Mike Jenkins.

Cowboys Draft WR Terrance Williams #74, 3rd Round

The Cowboys draft WR Terrance Williams, Baylor with the #74 pick of the 3rd round. I like the pick, let’s hope he can contribute immediately and give us insurance when Austin has is yearly injuries.

The Dallas Cowboys added some talent to their receiving core by drafting Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams in the third round of the NFL draft. Williams recorded 97 receptions, 1,832 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012 for the Bears.   Need NFL Tickets? IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have taken safety J.J. Wilcox of Georgia Southern with their second of two picks in the third round of the NFL draft. The Cowboys took the prospect from the Football Championship Subdivision, a tier below the top level of college football, with the 80th overall selection Friday night. Williams was also a Biletnikoff Award finalist for 2011. In 2012, he led the nation with 1,832 receiving yards. He is big and fast and will be a great compliment to Dez Bryant.

Cowboys take South Carolina LB with final pick

The Dallas Cowboys have taken South Carolina linebacker DeVonte Holloman in the sixth round of the NFL draft. The Cowboys took Holloman with the 185th overall selection Saturday, their last pick of the draft. Dallas traded its seventh-round choice to Miami last year. Holloman started more games at strong safety than linebacker in four years with the Gamecocks. He was an outside...

New safety becomes newest Dallas pick

During the months leading up to the NFL Draft, one of the positions almost universally viewed as a major need for the Cowboys was safety, where veteran Gerald Sensabaugh was released over the offseason.

Defending the Cowboys selection of Travis Frederick

One of the most controversial selections in the 2013 NFL draft was the Dallas Cowboys drafting center Travis Frederick at 31. Jerry Jones is already being compared to the NFL’s new Al Davis, but I understand the pick. Every fan or analyst that says they could have drafted Frederick in the latter rounds might be right, but they might also be wrong. After Eric Fisher, Luke Joeckel...

What Our 2nd-3rd Round Picks Mean for the 2013 Season

The Cowboys took a beating with the Travis Frederick pick, but after thinking about it and with some reasoning the tone has calmed a bit; however, today’s pick in the 2nd round  with TE Gavin Escobar had fans boiling over with anger on several levels. Let’s look closer at the guys we drafted today and what their roles will be in the 2013 season. TE Gavin Escobar, San Diego State...
