After three months of twisting in the wind, Tim Tebow will soon have his freedom. ESPN New York reported Tuesday that the Jets are still expected to grant Tebow his release following this month's draft. Up to this point, the Jets have kept the backup quarterback/personal punt protector on the roster in hopes of swinging a trade. Unsurprisingly, there's been "no market" for his services and thus no takers. Even though he's not in the Jets' plans, Tebow will report to the team's voluntary workouts, which begin on April 15. But that speaks more to his professional demeanor than his Jets loyalty; he knows he's not in the club's future plans, and is just trying to be a good soldier until his walking papers are delivered. It's unclear where Tebow will land once he's cut -- or if he even has a NFL future. However, it's evident that both he and the Jets have soured on each other, and this ill-fated marriage is finally ready to come to an end.
