This is good for Joe McKnight who said the Jets would have to kill him to get his roster spot.  No need for murder when your competition is getting arrested. New York Jets running back Mike Goodson was taken into custody early this morning for drug possession and weapons charges, News 12 New Jersey confirmed Friday. Sources say Goodson and a companion were found intoxicated in an SUV along Route 80 in Denville. Authorities have not said why the car was stopped on the highway. Goodson was being taken to a hospital when authorities discovered marijuana in his possession. Officers searching the SUV also found a loaded 45-caliber handgun. The full charges against Goodson are as followed. Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a loaded handgun  and possession of a hollow-point round.  Goodson is still in jail with a $50k bail. There are so many things wrong here. The #1 thing is they were driving drunk, maybe they realized that and pulled over to try to sober up. But anytime the cops see a SUV pulled over on the side of the road at 2am, they are going to check it out. Simple rule, if you are going to pull your car over in the middle of the highway, get rid of the weed.  Next rule, keep your “licensed” guns at home.  This isn’t Grand Theft Auto, The Sopranos are not coming out of the woods. Just dumb beyond words. SMARTEN UP NAS
