If the Buffalo Bandits are going to up their win streak to four games this weekend, they’re going to have to do it without the NLL’s all-time leading scorer.
The team announced today that captain John Tavares will not play this Saturday when the team hosts East Division rival Toronto in a rematch of last year’s Division Semi-final contest. The 44-year old Tavares suffered a calf injury, something that has nagged him for the past few years, in the team’s victory over Philadelphia last weekend.
Head Coach Darris Kilgour said that they will re-evaluate him during the week.
