Josh Kroenke expects Masai Ujiri to return as general manager of the Denver Nuggets next season. Ujiri's contract as general manager expires at the end of June. "For the fans, they should know that Masai wants to be here, and I think he enjoys working for me,” Kroenke said. “I think we make a pretty good team, along with Pete (D'Alessandro, vice president of basketball operations) and Dan (Tolzman, scouting director) and the rest of our scouting staff. So I wouldn't anticipate any issues there."Kroenke tabbed Ujiri to run the Nuggets in 2010.

Nuggets Aren't Contemplating Parting Ways With George Karl

After a first round exit out of a 57-win Denver Nuggets team, George Karl's future has been discussed, but the organization fully supports the head coach. "George is under contract for next year. At this point in time, we haven't really given any thought to making any change whatsoever," Nuggets president Josh Kroenke said. "As we do at the end of every...

Iguodala Expected To Opt Out Of $16M Deal For 13-14

Andre Iguodala is expected to opt out of the final season of his current contract, which is set to pay him $16 million in order to explore free agency. Iguodala may not receive as much money on an annual basis, but would welcome the security of a long-term deal. Iguodala will be one of the NBA's most coveted unrestricted free agents this offseason.

Nuggets' historic season now history

The Denver Nuggets brain trust has plenty of time on its hands now to contemplate whether it was a flaw in the team's makeup or just a bad matchup that led to yet another early exit from the playoffs. The Nuggets were first-round flops for the fourth straight season, taken out this time by the gritty Golden State Warriors in six games. Coach George Karl said the series was...

George Karl’s First Round Coaching Failures, An NIM Top 5 Investigation

There are many things I love about the NBA Playoffs, but few are more satisfying than the annual George Karl First Round Playoff Exit, and for two reasons: 1) watching NBA media members talk themselves into another Karl-coached team never stops being funny, and 2) I love tradition (think The Masters). Counting this season, Karl has coached his teams into the playoffs 22 times. Of...

Any time a teams season ends, specifically after upsets like the #6 seed Warriors defeating the #3 seed Nuggets last night, there is always a bit of the “blame game” that ensues. Throughout the social media world, many are already calling for the head of Nuggets coach George Karl, who has only coached the Nuggets out of the first round once since he took over the team in 2005...

After losing to the Denver Nuggets in Game 5, the Golden State Warriors bounced back to win Game 6 92-88 last night to bounce the Nuggets out of the playoffs. Warriors-Nuggets Game Six: More Of An Opera Than A Game

Aussie For Win I need to note this for the record, before I get into the guts of this unfor- gettable series... I had no real rooting interest in either team, coming in. Steph Curry is on my fantasy team and Andre Iguodala has my fondness for his service as a Sixer. I love Andre Miller and Kenneth Faried unconditionally; Ty Lawson is all kinds of great. I think George Karl is a...
