Earlier today I was entertaining a conversation about K. Michelle and JR Smith. Ironically hours later, this picture has provided me with an answer to my curiosity, thanks to Twitter. So Smith’s shooting slop is simply because he is being weighed down, not because he misses K.Michelle or is suffering from sickness brought on by Rihanna. Serge Ibaka is having the same problem with the Thunder. This could be a problem, but who’s complaining?

Smith takes blame for Knicks

Knicks swingman J.R. Smith has not been good during the team's second-round series against the Indiana Pacers, which New York trails 3-1 after Tuesday's 93-82 loss in Indy. Of that, there is no dispute -- not even from Smith, himself. Through four games, the recently crowned sixth man of the year has averaged 13.3 points, nearly five below his season average, and the way...

J.R. Smith’s Illness Feels Like Only Part of Story for Knicks Guard as Struggles Continue

It goes without saying that J.R. Smith has not been the same player in the playoffs that he was in the regular season, when he averaged 18.1 points off the bench and earned the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award. Calling him a “no-show” lately would be generous. At least if he were a no-show, his effect on the Knicks would be neutral. Instead, he is starting to outright hurt...

JR Smith: “I Take The Blame For This Whole Series”

Even though Smith has been shooting 28% this series against the Pacers in the 2nd round playoff, the Sixth Man of The Year cant let his slumps get the best of him. From NY Daily News, speaking after their disappointing 93-82 lost to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, JR Smith gave every Knick fan a place to take their blame… him. “My frustration with myself is extremely high...

JR Smith: It’s On Me

JR Smith, who’s gone an indefensible 18-for-64 this series (that’s 28% for all you math majors), spoke out after last night’s Game 4 loss. “I take the blame for this whole series…I haven’t been playing my part. I’ve been letting my teammates down. I’ve been letting my coaches down.” Strong words from the former JR Swish. Maybe it’s time to get Jason Terry to elbow...

J.R. Smith Takes Blame For Knicks 3-1 Hole Vs. Pacers

J.R. Smith, who has shot 18-64 (28.1%) in his last 4 games, is shouldering the blame for the Knicks being in a 3-1 series hole against the Indiana Pacers, a hole so deep only 8 teams in NBA history have overcome it to win a series. According to the NY Post: “I take the blame for this whole series,” Smith said. “I’ve been letting my teammates down, I’ve been letting my coaches...

Knicks' J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin miss practice with illness

An illness kept New York Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith out of team warmups before Game 3 Saturday, and it also caused him to miss yesterday's practice session. According to Jared Wade of ESPN New York, both Smith and forward Kenyon Martin missed practice Sunday due to illness. There were questions surrounding Smith's availability for Game 3 after he missed shootaround...

Knicks’ J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin out again with illness

For the second day in a row the New York Knicks were withoutguard J.R. Smith and forward Kenyon Martin, as both players continued to battle illness. Considering the lingering illnesses both players are facing, coach Mike Woodson told reporters – including Ian Begley of ESPN – that Smith and Martin will be game-time decisions for tonight’s Game 4 matchup against the Indiana...

Knicks’ Kenyon Martin Now Suffering From J.R. Smith’s Illness

He may not be suffering through a shooting slump or running the streets with Rihanna, but Knicks forward Kenyon Martin is now suffering from the same illness that slowed J.R. Smith down. J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin are both missing practice due to illness, according to the Knicks. — Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) May 12, 2013 FWIW: regarding Kenyon Martin’s illness, J.R. Smith mentioned...

Caption the Photo: John Starks and JR Smith Sharing a Moment

John Starks gets a bit of a bad rap, without him the Knicks wouldn’t have been as good during the 1993-94 season and he was a tough of a player that there ever was, but his playoff failures that year are similar to JR Smith on a much grander scale. The 1993-94 season was Starks best as a pro, he averaged 19 points and 6 assists a game. In the playoffs though , all his numbers were...

New York Knicks – Searching For Answers, Running Out Of TIme

The New York Knicks have given us their best season in well over a decade which is what’s making these past few nights of watching them so difficult. This isn’t the team who entertained the hell out of us with their wide open three-point chucking offense, veteran savvy and career years from Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith. We are watching a great year go down in flames and the Knicks...

These NBA & NFL Jocks have a reason to be “Cocky;” JR Smith, Serge Ibaka, Larry Fitzgerald & more

Warning, this is not a conversation for under the age of 18 or anyone with tender eyes. KMichelle’s discussion about her love sick “hot pocket” inspired a discussion about JR Smith’s “cockiness.” Considering the popularity of that post. I decided to do an impromptu poll. And by poll I mean I sent out a few text messages and looked back in the email archives to put together...

TOK Game Recap – Knicks Season Just About Over

The New York Knicks season was pushed to the brink tonight with another lackluster effort against the Indiana Pacers, as they fell 93-82. Eleven points doesn’t do justice to how one sided this game felt. The Knicks went down immediately and were never really in the game. We’ve seen this movie before. Outside of the 4th quarter in the Game 2, the Knicks have been thoroughly out...

Knicks Offense Crumbles as Pacers Take Game 3

By Kenneth Teape Final Score: Knicks: 71  Pacers: 82 The three day layoff between Game 2 and 3 did not play out as the Knicks had hoped as they struggled to do much of anything in Game 3 against a stingy Pacers team to fall down two games to one in the series.  Even the return of Amar’e Stoudemire was not enough for the Knicks tonight, who just could not get it going on the offensive...
