Baylor Students Counter-Protest Westboro Baptist Pigs At Kansas State Game

You know what God finds hilarious? The Westboro church pigs getting trolled by Baylor students with GameDay-esque signs at at protest before the Baylor-Kansas State game. We’re not even sure, and not looking into why, Westboro picked Saturday’s game to protest. There was something about “fags” and “Kansas State” on one sign. But the real party came via the genius of...

Monday Medicine: Kansas State Wildcats

With all due respect to our Oregon readers, there's really no question who deserves this week's dose of Monday Medicine. The Ducks lost a nailbiter to a tough division opponent and are loaded with young talent and more Nike money than Michael Jordan's grandkids. Oregon will be back. Kansas State on the other hand...well, I just can't shake the feeling that this...

Four-way tie for BCS berth in Big 12?

The loss by Kansas State over the weekend helped upend the national championship picture. It also set up potential chaos in the Big 12. Kansas State could still win the Big 12, but the Wildcats' 52-24 loss at Baylor on Saturday night by and large ended their chance of playing for the national title. And it set up the possibility for a four-way tie in the conference between Oklahoma...

Forgotten Georgia in thick of championship race

When Kansas State and Oregon both went down, Aaron Murray whooped it up as much as any Georgia fan. The star quarterback knew what that meant for the Bulldogs - a shot at the national championship. Funny thing, though. Outside of the state of Georgia, hardly anyone is talking about the Southeastern Conference's other title contender. Instead, everyone is gushing about the possibility...

Alabama No. 2 in BCS standings

After Kansas State and Oregon were upset Saturday night, Alabama is now No. 2 in the BCS standings behind undefeated Notre Dame. Georgia and Florida are lurking at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.

A STINGING LOSS

MANHATTAN, Kan. - All that stood between Kansas State and a trip to the BCU national championship game was eight quarters of football. That was four against hapless Baylor, and four against Texas. Today, it is the Bears celebrating their first ever win against a No. 1 team in the nation, and K-State now needing a win over the Longhorns to win a Big 12 title.
