On Tuesday afternoon, word spread around the SteelerNation’s Twittersphere that Keenan Lewis was apparently headed for the free agent market. Hopes of getting the high priority free agent back in Pittsburgh immediately came into question more than before, but Lewis cleared the air later Tuesday evening. It started with Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review tweeting out that Steelers free agent Cornerback Keenan Lewis wants to test the free agent market, and is apparently looking for the big pay day he thinks he’ll get from another team: ”Alan Robinson@arobinson_Trib : Keenan Lewis plans to test free agency. He told #Steelers “they made a mistake” by not offering multi-year deal before 2012 season.” After Steelers fans across the social media world starting started whipping into a frenzy, Lewis clarified the misquote by Robinson and set the record straight: “I was misquoted by a reporter saying it was a mistake not to give me a contract last year. Try to make my image lo...

Steelers: Could Manti Te’o Fall to #17 and Land in Pittsburgh?

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense ranked first in the league and if you asked fans not many would blame the season on the defensive side of the ball. That said there are a lot of changes coming and a big time defensive leader and play-maker could be just what the Steelers need in the 2013 NFL Draft. One such player is middle linebacker Manti Te’o of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish...

There Were Some Positives for the Steelers This Year

When things aren’t going the way you want them to for extended periods of time it becomes very easy to get pessimistic. Criticizing becomes almost too easy and finding people to blame becomes as easy shooting fish in a barrel. I know I fell into this category during the 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers’ season of tumult which has seen our beloved black ‘n gold go 8-8 and miss the playoffs...

Expecting a better Steelers season? Maybe next year

It's safe to assume most, if not all, Steelers fans are happy to see 2012 come to a close.  In a span of 12 months the Steelers lost to Tim Tebow in the wild card round of the playoffs, then went 8-8 missing the playoffs altogether the following season.Unfortunately, 2013 doesn't look promising either. For starters, the offense is going to take a step back.  Mike Wallace...
