San Diego Chargers left tackle King Dunlap exited the game late and now we know why. According to the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken, Dunlap sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter.
If Dunlap can’t play next week it won’t be good for the Chargers. The team is already incredibly thin at offensive line with guard Chad Rinehart also possibly set to miss some time with turf toe. It is also unknown when tackle D.J Fluker will return from his own concussion.
If the team starts the same lineup it was using at the end of the game, Chargers’ fans and Philip Rivers are going to be reminded of last year that saw Rivers on his back and throwing off his back foot more often than not.

With two seconds left and out of field goal range, the San Diego Chargers tried a last-second hook and lateral play. It resulted in this comedic series of events that saw the Chargers lose 30 yards and incur a 15-yard penalty because Philip Rivers kicked the ball. Easily the funniest thing I’ve seen all weekend. The San Diego Chargers needed a miracle to pull off the come-from-behind victory on Sunday afternoon, but instead what they got was a circus of a play.
The Chargers found themselves down by three with only seconds remaining, and they had one play to score a touchdown. After a series of laterals and some desperate attempts to move down the field, San Diego began making some negative...
San Diego Chargers’ quarterback Philip Rivers gets a bad rap because he is consistently seen jawing at either his opponents or the referees. Although the worst he’ll ever say is “gee! why did you make that dumb call” or “I can see you’re trying to blitz me! That stinkin’ play won’t work.”
During Sunday’s loss versus the Titans, Rivers jawing cost his team 15-yards...
The Chargers face the number one defense in the NFL, and now they will have to do it minus their star rookie tackle. Chargers rookie right tackle D.J. Fluker suffered a concussion in practice this week after colliding with a teammate and will miss Sunday’s game, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday. U-T San […]
San Diego left guard Chad Rinehart has hurt his foot in the second quarter against the Tennessee Titans, and his return is questionable.
Rinehart ran across the field toward the locker room midway through the quarter. He was replaced by Rich Ohrnberger.
The Chargers already are without starting right tackle D.J. Fluker, deactivated with a concussion.

Chargers receiver Eddie Royal caught two passes for 34 yards against the Titans in Week 3.Fantasy Spin:Welcome back to Earth. After grabbing five touchdowns over the first two games, Royal was only targeted twice Sunday. It's tougher to produce when the defense keys in on you. Royal actually led Chargers wideouts but was fourth on the team in yards . Running back Danny Woodhead...
San Diego rookie right tackle D.J. Fluker and linebacker Donald Butler will not play against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
The Chargers deactivated both with Fluker not cleared after a concussion in practice this week, while Butler hurt his groin last week against the Eagles. The Chargers drafted Fluker out of Alabama in the first round to help protect Philip Rivers.
San Diego Chargers (1-1) at Tennessee Titans (1-1)
These two teams have had eerily similar starts to their season. Both have almost beaten the Texans in what was seen as a “surprise,” even though the Texans haven’t really been that good since the middle of last season. Both also pulled upset wins in Pennsylvania against a team that might not have been as good as we thought...

If you didn’t see the ending of the Sunday’s matchup between the San Diego Chargers vs. the Tennessee Titans game then you missed the play that has defined Philip Rivers’ career as an NFL quarterback.
I don’t care how many passing yards or touchdowns he’s thrown and I don’t care about how many Super Bowls he will win. Haha. If he wins a Super Bowl with the Chargers...

The Chargers look to improve to 2-0 on the road as they tackle the Titans in Week 3. And even though these teams are not in the same division, they are more than familiar with one another. Check out these key game elements to watch as the Chargers look to keep pace in the suddenly impressive AFC West.
This can't be something the San Diego Chargers spent any serious time on.
With other things going on, no Enemy Intelligence this week. I sat down to try to write it, but got stuck. To me, this game boils down to something very direct: Can Philip Rivers operate effectively against the Titans' pressure? The past two seasons, he's been unusually skittish in the pocket. The big open question coming into this season was how much of that was Norv Turner...
