Sacbee:
Former North Carolina standout Sean May, coming off three injury-hampered years with the Charlotte Bobcats, agreed in principle to a one-year, minimum contract with the Kings.
An official announcement is expected later today.
May, a 6-foot-9 center/power forward, will earn approximately $880,000, of which the league pays approximately $50,000.
A lottery pick in 2005 (No. 13 overall), he was released by the Bobcats last month because of conditioning issues and a failure to fulfill expectations. After arriving at the Las Vegas Summer League in much better shape - noticeably slimmer - he worked out for the Kings and several other teams and, at the time, indicated a preference to sign with Sacramento.
