Many sources confirmed today that Parker Kligerman will be driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Nationwide Series for the 2013 season. Few details were released on the signing as to what sponsor, car number, etc. Busch mentioned during championship weekend that he and Kurt (Busch) will not likely be sharing a full-time ride in the Nationwide Series for the2013 season and he was seeking a driver to run the full schedule and compete for the championship. Parker Kligerman didn’t want to return to the Truck Series after the 2012 season in which he placed fifth in the points. Kligerman wasn’t on a team with a Nationwide program so he went elsewhere and landed at Kyle Busch Motorsports. Kyle Busch’s Cup Series team, Joe Gibbs Racing, had announced their 2013 Nationwide lineup in the past weeks and team owner Joe Gibbs mentioned that Busch will be driving a handful of races for JGR in the Nationwide Series for 2013. Gibbs also mentioned that Kyle was seeking a driver to race full-time in Busch’s Nationwide team. This season Kyle and his older brother Kurt shared a ride for KBM in the No.54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry. Kurt was the only one to find victory lane when he won at Richmond in April. Kyle Busch has mentioned that he wanted to get a full-time driver and compete for the championship in the Nationwide Series for a few seasons now and in 2013, he will have his first opportunity to compete for the Nationwide Series title. The new driver at KBM, Parker Kligerman, raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season and he scored one win at Talladega along with eight top fives as well as fifteen top ten’s. Kligerman was released from the team he began the season with, Brad Keselowski Racing, and he was picked up by Red Horse Racing in mid-August. Kligerman was overall more successful in the races he drove in a Red Horse Racing truck than a Brad Keselowski Racing truck. Kligerman’s goal for 2013 was to get a full-time Nationwide Series ride and now he has landed one and he can start concentrating on being successful in 2013. All parties involved in this signing should be proud at what they got. KBM acquired a great young-driver with a lot of potential and Kligerman is going to race for one of the best drivers in NASCAR, Kyle Busch. KBM and Kligerman’s goals will both be the championship and with a great driver and great equipment, Kligerman should be competing up front and for the championship in 2013.
