Found December 05, 2011 on The Colts Authority:
The Patriots had a good day against the reeling Colts pass defense: What I didn’t like: The Patriots top two passing targets had their way with the Colts. Wes Welker was targeted by Brady 11 times and caught the pass all 11 times. Tight end Rob Gronkowski had two receiving touchdowns and one on what was judged to be a lateral. The Patriots scored on four touchdowns and a field goal on five of their first six possessions. On offense, running back Delone Carter lost a fumble, and such moments negate whatever confidence he’s built up during the week in practice from the coaching staff.

Video of the day: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski talks about losing his record and winning the game

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was celebrated in yesterday’s 31-24 win over the Colts for setting the single-season TD record for tight ends. Then, he had it taken away, which he took in stride. It was a weird day for Gronk, and he was only 1 of 3 on Gronk Spikes. In my video, he explained it all:

Rob Gronkowski May Have Set Unofficial World Record for Spikes and 19 Other Patriots Thoughts

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The Patriots might return Sunday night from Washington as AFC East champions if they beat the Redskins and the Jets fall to the Chiefs, so the scoreboard watching (both games are at 1 p.m.) should be in effect, if not for the players then at least from the fan base. But there are plenty of other topics to discuss this week, so let's run through 20 thoughts in...

Patriots' Gronkowski ties NFL TE touchdowns mark

Rob Gronkowski tied the NFL record for touchdowns by a tight end on Sunday. With two scores against the woeful Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots star has 13 on the season. He is now tied with Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers (2009) and Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers (2004) for the honor. Gronkowski reeled in an 11-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter...

Patriots stave off winless Colts

Rob Gronkowski caught two touchdown passes then scored on a lateral and the New England Patriots withstood a fourth-quarter rally to keep the Indianapolis Colts winless with a 31-24 victory Sunday. Trailing 31-3, the Colts rallied with a touchdown run by Donald Brown and two scoring passes from Dan Orlovsky to Pierre Garcon, the last a 40-yarder with 36 seconds to go. But Deion...

Another Rob Gronkowski touchdown has Patriots on top

In his first half as Colts defensive coordinator, Mike Murphy pushed a lot of the right buttons. His defense held the Patriots in check on their first two drives and showed a lot more fight than we’ve seen on that side of the ball in a few weeks from Indianapolis, but there’s still work to…

Patriots overwhelm Colts

Rob Gronkowski scored three touchdowns and the Patriots held off the winless Colts 31-24. Dan Orlovsky turned in a solid start for the Colts with 353 yards and two touchdowns.

Gronkowski almost sets record as Patriots roll over Colts

It was almost a record setting day for Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots tight end appeared to break a tie with Vernon Davis and Antonio Gates for sole possession of the NFL record for most touchdowns caught by a tight end in a single season when he scored for the third time in the third quarter…

New England Patriots: No Run Game, No Problem

The 9-3 New England Patriots are on a four game winning streak and have a strong lead in the AFC East.  Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have this offense rolling and the Patriots are looking to clinch the division this week.  The Patriots have done it the past four games all thanks to the passing attack of Brady.  The Patriots have gotten away from the run but does it really matter...

Bob Kravitz's Colts vs. Patriots report card

The Dopey Report Card staff was really looking forward to some Italian food on Federal Hill in Providence, R.I., but had to cover Saturday night's Big Ten title football game instead. So we stayed home in the man cave. I'll treat them to Fazoli's this week. The Colts tried to run the ball, but that's not who they are and not who they've been the past decade. They...
