Sunday we saw rookie QB’s Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III end their spectacular seasons in unspectacular losing fashion, and at the end of the day, only one rookie QB stood with the right to advance to the next round. Russell Wilson's numbers weren't spectacular, going 15 of 26 for 187 yards and 1 TD, but also rushed for 67 yards on eight carriers in the wild card win, Seattle’s first road victory after 8 straight losses away from home. Griffin started off fast for the Redskins, who seemed in control scoring two early TDs, but was stymied by the Seattle defense after that. Add in the fact that RG3 looked to have re-injured his knee on their second drive, but stayed in the game after being checked out. It clearly affected the Washington offense going forward. "We were getting our butt kicked," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said, via the Seattle Times. "There's no doubt about it, and then we weren't." The Redskins had no answer for RB Marshawn Lynch, who ran for 131 yards, including a big 27-yard run with 7:08 remaining that put the Seahawks ahead. "Marshawn always tells me, 'Russ, I got your back, no matter what,' " Wilson said, via ESPN, who threw in a final block to help Lynch score; "So I just try to help him out every once in a while." RG3’s(10/19, 84 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT) injured knee didn’t last the game, as it buckled badly while trying to field a bad shotgun snap in the 4th quarter, losing a fumble and ending his day. The severity of the injury is not yet known.  Seattle was able to capitalize on the turnover, scoring an insurance field goal that put the game out of reach for Washington. "It was hard to watch RG III tonight," Carroll said. "It was hard on him. He was freaking gallant." var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
