It really doesn’t get much better than that. The past 48 hours have been pretty awesome for Louisville fans. Despite an injured quarterback and false rumors of their coach interviewing for another job, this Louisville team battled for a 20-17 win over Rutgers, claiming the Big East title. The odds were stacked against the Cards tonight, but a 14 point third quarter changed everything for Louisville. Teddy Bridgewater has been doing it all season, but tonight’s performance specifically proved that he is going to be the best quarterback to ever wear the Louisville uniform. Bridgewater was 20-of-28 for 263 yards and two touchdowns with a bum ankle and a fractured wrist. Despite giving up two huge plays in the first half, Louisville’s defense played as good as they’ve played all season. With a win tonight, the Cards have clinched the Big East title earning a BCS bowl berth. The Orange Bowl is where Louisville will likely end up, but keep your eye on Kent State this weekend.
