Six weeks into the 2013 college football season, the Louisville Cardinals are now the only team in the country that has yet to trail at any point during the season.Heading into the weekend, Ohio State, Washington, Texas Tech, Miami and Washington also hadn’t trailed, but that changed on Saturday.
Not only has Louisville never trailed this season, they’ve been unbelievably dominant in the first half of each game.In their first five games, Louisville has outscored their opponents 58-3 in the first quarter and 69-0 in the second quarter. That is a 127-3 advantage over their first five opponents in the second half.
I realize the schedule hasn’t been tough whatsoever, but honestly Louisville is doing exactly what they’re supposed to do so far. When you want to be considered as an elite team and you play weaker opponents, outscoring them 127-3 in the first half is exactly what you have to do.
Judging from that stat alone, you can see that Louisville has been dominant early on in each game...
