The University of Iowa men's tennis team nearly upset nationally-ranked DePaul, but the Blue Demons won three straight singles matches earn a comeback win. The Hawkeyes (1-4 overall) fell 4-3 to No. 73 DePaul (6-3) Sunday in the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Iowa won five total matches while DePaul won four.

In a tale of two halves, the DePaul Blue Demons started out tonight’s game at Allstate Arena with energy, but couldn’t keep it going in the second half before falling to 19th ranked Marquette 89-76.
The Blue Demons host their rivals from Milwaukee on Monday night at Allstate Arena.
Natalie Novosel scored 17 of her 21 points in the first half to help No. 2 Notre Dame coast to a 90-70 victory over DePaul on Sunday.
The Irish (23-1, 10-0 Big East) scored 56 points in the first half, shooting 72 percent from the field - including hitting six of their seven 3-pointers.
Skylar Diggins added 11 points and 10 assists.

DePaul put up a tough effort, but the fouling out Jamee Crockett and Cashmere Wright late were too much for the Blue Demons to overcome. UC got a career best 14 from Justin Jackson, along with 16 point games from Sean Kilpatrick and my best friend Dion Dixon. UC played flat for the longest time, but they were lucky that DePaul took a slew of bad shots late and couldn't finish...
