Found October 02, 2013 on Fox Sports:
The Miami Marlins aren't even playing anymore this season, and they've still found a way to mess things up. The team announced that it would be selling 9,100 unsold tickets for its season finale on Sept. 29, 2013, when Henderson Alvarez threw a walk-off no-hitter at Marlins Park. Not entirely unheard of, the commemorative ticket sale made some sense -- until the team put the wrong date on the $15 collectibles. The folks over at Deadspin have obtained a screenshot of one of the commemorative PDF tickets (yes, the team is charging $15 for an unusable PDF), and the date on the ticket is Sunday, Oct. 3, 2013 (a date that doesn't even exist). The 62-100 Marlins certainly won't be playing any October baseball this year, but check out the photo below to see the ticket claiming that they will be.

Even in the early innings, Henderson Alvarez knew he had a no-hitter going. The score, however, left him confused. Oops. The score was 0-0. That changed a short time later, when Giancarlo...

Young pitching gives Marlins hope for future

The right-hander who threw a no-hitter on the final day of the regular season for the Miami Marlins might be only the third- or fourth-best young arm in their rotation. That's how good the Marlins' pitching is. Henderson Alvarez no-hit the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, and the Marlins scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth to win 1-0. The victory provided an exhilarating...

The Miami Marlins Pulled Off The Strangest No-Hitter Against The Detroit Tigers

(via Getty Image)The Miami Marlins scored a 1-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers yesterday to keep their season loss total at an even 100, and that’s a positive because finishing with exactly 100 losses would be a pretty cool feat. Obviously, nobody wants their team to lose 100 games in a season, but I’m just trying to be an optimist for the several dozen Marlins that still actually...
