New Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace has always displayed a level of swagger and bravado, and he hopes to translate to his new team. After being introduced to the media Wallace sat down for a discussion with ESPN, and calmly made it known that “he expects the Dolphins to challenge the Patriots for AFC East supremacy from day 1.” “Hopefully we can compete this year. That’s why we’re in this. We’re in this to compete every year,” he said. “We expect to compete as soon as we step on the field. From Day 1, we’re going to compete with everybody and we’re going to let the chips fall where they will.” Wallace of course said he was said to leave Pittsburgh, but he’s ready for a new start. “That’s all I know so it was definitely hard for me [to leave the Steelers]. But as we all know this is a business and you have to make the best decision for yourself. I’m excited to move forward,” he said. Mike Wallace To Miami: Dolphins Make A Splash In Free Agency

The Miami Dolphins landed former Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace, one of the big veteran prizes available here in 2013. It's always bad to overpay for WRs. But in terms of statistical need, Wallace to Miami makes perfect sense.

Breaking down Mike Wallace’s Dolphins contract

As they often do, Mike Florio and his compatriots at Pro Football Talk have gotten the final numbers on Mike Wallace’s contract. A lot of Browns fans really wanted Mike Wallace. A few less wanted him after hearing the final tally of the Dolphins deal and just how much they had to fork over for the former Steeler wideout. I’ve taken Florio’s numbers and put it in the format...

Dolphins’ spending spree will cost Jeff Ireland his job

NFL Free Agency is under way and teams are on a spending spree signing players to help them remain a playoff team or get to the playoffs in 2013. Mike Wallace press conference highlights

The Miami Dolphins held a press conference this morning and welcomed back Chris Clemons, while also introducing Mike Wallace to the South Florida media.  We’ll focus on Mike Wallace’s comments, because honestly, Chris Clemons was on the team last year and didn’t have anything too exciting to say.  Before we get to that, the below infographic was posted on Dolphins.com and...

Dolphins throwing money at problems

The Miami Dolphins have a huge problem that should have been solved by this time last year. Now, that problem is becoming a huge issue. The problem I'm speaking of is, of course, general manager Jeff Ireland. The Dolphins' GM should have been fired over a year ago, but the team gave him one more chance to turn the ship around. The selection of Ryan Tannehill is paying off...

Big Winner of Day 2: The Detroit Lions

After the Miami Dolphins made big moves on day 1 of free agency by signing Mike Wallace and Dannell Ellerbe, the Detroit Lions were the clear winners of day 2. Ironically, the biggest signing of the day for the Lions was running back Reggie Bush, who left those same Dolphins to sign a 4 year $16 million dollar contract. Also added to the fold were former Texans safety Glover Quin...
