Good news for the Dallas Cowboys and WR Miles Austin as it appears Austin’s hamstring injury is not too serious.
“We just want to see what his progress is day to day,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “We don’t think it’s a severe hamstring injury, but we’ll take his injury day to day and see how he progresses as the week goes on.”-ESPN.com
Great news for a WR that has suffered from lingering hamstring issues that have been affecting him for the last couple of seasons.

Despite a report earlier from Michael Schottey of Bleacher Report, the Cowboys aren’t willing to trade wide receiver Miles Austin, according to Mark O’Hara.
Dallas source says rule out Miles Austin as possible WR for Lions. Cowboys all in to win weak NFC Least, with Wash., Philly. Giants in tank.
This is exactly what I thought. It would make zero sense for Dallas to get rid...
After a week of discussion about how the Cowboys needed to commit to the run the team, and their Quarterback who took some heat from Cowboys defenders this week for audibling away from rush calls too frequently, kept the ball on the ground and controlled the tempo against the St. Louis Rams. Romo did his part, too, with three touchdowns and a 70.8 completion percentage but Murray’s...
Entering their Week 3 match up with the St. Louis Rams, the Dallas Cowboys were engulfed, both in and by criticism. For the second year in a row, the team had opened the season with an impressive statement, only to give it all away the following week to a team flying under the radar. Last year it was the Seattle Seahawks; this year the Kansas City Chiefs. So what were the primary...
Being a fan of the NFL since I was just a young lad I’ve seen the game tweaked and changed a bit over the years, and overall, for the better. It’s hard to argue with the leagues success and dominance, especially, compared to the other leagues within the big four. While some of the recent rule changes have been refreshing, and maybe even slam dunks, some are still questionable...
DeMarcus Ware has become the Dallas Cowboys' career sacks leader.
Ware matched Harvey Martin's 30-year-old franchise record with his 114th in the first half Sunday against St. Louis, and got his second of the game to surpass Martin in the third quarter.
Sacks became an official NFL statistic in 1982. Based on that, Ware had surpassed Jim Jeffcoat's 94 1/2 two seasons...
No one should be surprised that Emmitt Smith wants the Dallas Cowboys to make a commitment to the running game.
Led by DeMarco Murrays 175-yard rushing performance on Sunday, the Cowboys improved to 2-1 with a 31-7 blowout victory over the St. Louis Rams.
The NFLs all-time leading rusher liked what he saw, but he wants more.
"I know publicly weve said that we want to run...
There was hope that Dallas Cowboys DE Anthony Spencer would return eventually from a self-described 'bone bruise', but that's clearly out the window now as his agent announced Spencer will indeed undergo microfracture surgery on his knee, effectively ending any chance of playing in 2013.
Agent Jordan Woy announced the news via Twitter Tuesday, projecting that Spencer...
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was fined $7875 for a throat-slash penalty following his touchdown catch in last Sunday's 31-7 win against the St. Louis Rams a source told ESPN.com.
Bryant apologized Monday for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after his customary "X" signal when he scored. He also said he would appeal any fine.
"I shouldn't have...

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray had a big day on Sunday.
The third-year Murray ran for 175 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries in a 31-7 over the St. Louis Rams. Murray added another three catches for 28 more yards.
Entering Sunday’s game Murray had totaled just 111 yards in the Cowboys first two games.
Before DeMarco Murray ran through St. Louis just like he did when he set a franchise record two years ago, the Dallas defense stopped the Rams twice.
The Cowboys had to get a pair of three-and-outs because Dwayne Harris muffed the game's first punt, but that just gave Dallas a chance to get the first of six sacks on Sam Bradford.
Murray ran for 175 yards and a touchdown, Tony...
With his two sacks on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, DeMarcus Ware became the franchise leader in sacks with 115.0.
The list now appears as follows:
Harvey Martin, 114.0
Randy White, 111.0
Too Tall Jones, 106.0
George Andrie, 97.0
Of course, the numbers for the last four are unofficial stats kept by the team, given that the NFL did not count sacks as an official statistic...
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) DeMarco Murray found the perfect antidote for his recent malaise: the St. Louis Rams.Murray rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown two years after torching St. Louis with a franchise record as a rookie, and Tony Romo threw for three scores in a 31-7 victory Sunday.Murray's first 100-yard game in more than a year started with a 14-yard run on Dallas' first...
ST. LOUIS, Mo. --The Rams were hoping for some answers when they boarded a Texas-bound plane before Week 3.
Yes, this offense could fire all cylinders before a double-digit lead was hanging over its head. Yes, this defense could present a decent pass defense. And yes, there was still so much reason for optimism when it came to Jeff Fisher's team.
As Fisher and his squad...
The Cowboys are winning the battle against the St. Louis Rams in Dallas, but Rams special teams player T.J. McDonald definitely wins his war with the Cowboys Kyle Wilber after he delivering this vicious block.
