With 421 receiving yards in his last two games, Miles Austin has burst on to the scene like no other receiver.
And when he comes into the locker room these days, he is often surrounded by media. His locker is tucked into a corner with mostly defensive players, so they now have to take refuge somewhere else as Austin talks.
On Wednesday Steve Octavien gave Austin some good natured grief for bringing so many folks to the neighborhood, so to speak, and Austin politely moved over some to give Octavien more room. Didn't matter it was an overflow crowd.
"It's happened pretty fast, in a couple of weeks," Austin said of the newfound fame. "You know I didn't have this many people at my locker five weeks ago."
Later Austin was asked what makes him dangerous.
"I don't think I'm dangerous," Austin said. "I'm just running routes and there happens to be holes open and I'm just getting there and trying to make plays after I catch ...
