Monday brings a very light day with only four games being played with the 22 remaining teams getting a much needed day off. Thus, all four games are the Games of the Day.Chicago Cubs at Atlanta: Atlanta dropped two-of-three in Boston and the Cubs swept Cleveland and are in the midst of a four-game winning streak. The season series is tied at 1 game apiece. Ryan Dempster matches up against Javier Vazquez. Vazquez is striking out 10.92 batters per nine innings. Only Justin Verlander's 10.96 is higher. Only Arizona has more strikeouts against righties than the Cubs. Derek Lee is 20-for-50 against Vazquez with seven doubles and three homers. Teammate Milton Bradley, however, is only 3-for-18 against Vazquez. St. Louis at New York Mets: St. Louis is coming off a sweep of the Royals and the Mets are coming off losing two games to the Rays. The Cards now have a 1.5 game lead in the NL Central. The Mets are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Todd Wellemeyer takes on Tim Redding. Colorado at Los Angeles Angels: Colorado is 9-1 in their last 10 games, having swept Pittsburgh this past weekend. Be prepared for Garrett Atkins to DH in LA as two six-game winners - Aaron Cook and Matt Palmer - matchup. The Rox are 16-4 during the month of June and are helping make the NL West exciting. Aaron Cook has given up 11 homers this season. He allowed only 13 in 2008. San Francisco at Oakland: The Giants are fresh off a sweep of the Rangers behind Sunday's stellar performance by Barry Zito. Jonathan Sanchez looks to continue that magic against cross-bay rival Oakland. The Giants swept the A's in the first round of the Bay Bridge Series, outscoring Oakland 17-3.
