What is it about the naked human body that people find so disturbing?  I mean, we were born naked, we shower naked, some of us sleep naked, so what’s the big deal with running naked?  Sure there’s the obvious swinging and flopping of certain body parts which can be off-putting, but participating in a marathon au naturel seems so organic to me.

Brett Henderson obviously feels the same way.  The marathoner undertook the Flying Pig Marathon this past May 1 wearing only a hat and nothing else…a move which got Henderson arrested and tasered because he refused to stop his nude running when confronted by police.

And now his stunt has gotten him banned from participating in future Flying Pig Marathons, naked or otherwise.  The 36-year-old naturalist was also placed on a year’s probation, given 80 hours of community service, and ordered to repay the $110 entry fee for the race, after pleading guilty earlier to public indecency and disorderly conduct.

Here’s video (SFW) of Henderson’s birthday suit run during this year’s Flying Pig…

Assistant City Solicitor Karla Burtch went so far as to label Henderson as a narcissist, but I just think he’s comfortable with his body, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your body type.  I’m sure people would have less of a problem with a nude, frolicking Brad Pitt than they would naked Chaz Bono doing the same.
