Score one for the Washington Nationals. Washington defeated lefthander John Lannan on Thursday in baseball's first salary arbitration decision this year. Lannan will receive the club's $5 million offer - as opposed to his request of $5.7 million. A three-person panel made the ruling on Thursday. The 27-year-old Lannan, who made $2.75 million last season, posted a 10-13 mark with a 3.70 ERA.
