Preseason games are not the best of football games, but occasionally you get some of those plays that you want to see over and over again. Why? Because they are that darn sweet! Chicago Bears rookie Jonathan Bostic had a nice one against San Diego; Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh took advantage of an opportunity to put one on Brows running back Trent Richardson.
Suh doesn't get a solid hit on Richardson here, but it is still a pretty awesome lick.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was on the field early Thursday night in Cleveland, getting ready for a preseason game, and couldn't understand why stadium security was practicing chasing down a streaker.
"This one guy would run around like a streaker and they'd chase it down," Stafford said during a postgame news conference. "I was like, 'When...
When we think of underrated and overrated players on a football team, we tend to search for the quarterback or the player who just got the new contract after one year of stellar play. We never think of the backup guard or the third-down pass rusher. And we never think of the coach. This might be one of those articles where a case can be made for a coach hanging on too long and doing...
Detroit Lions star receiver Calvin Johnson will miss Thursday nights preseason game at Cleveland because of a bruised knee.
The injury is not believed to be serious. The decision to sit Johnson was for precautionary reasons.
Patrick Edwards, an undrafted player last year out of the University of Houston, is expected to start in Johnsons place.

Detroit running back Joique Bell and not Mikel Leshoure may be the No. 2 man behind oft-injured starter Reggie Bush.Fantasy Spin:Bell is getting more opportunities than Leshoure who was on the field for just seven plays in Thursday's exhibition game against Cleveland. QB Matt Stafford (Detroit)
One of the weird statistical things about the Lions in 2012 was that Matt Stafford set an NFL record with 727 passing attempts, but managed just 20 touchdowns. Well, somehow a running game that ran just 391 times on the season managed to steal 17 touchdowns away from Stafford, while backup Shaun Hill stole another 2 on 13 attempts. The Lions should remain...
The toughest battle the Detroit Lions will have to face this season won’t be an opposing team, but will be in their efforts to restoring the pride of a city they call home.
After attending the Detroit Lions’ first preseason game, who were playing host to the New York Jets, I realized more than just a 26-17 victory from the home team.
I realized that, even after a disappointing...
On Thursday night, the Detroit Lions looked like many season-ticket holders throughout the league during the preseason.
They were no-shows.
The Lions starters got off to a terrible start. They were totally lethargic and ineffective in the first half of 24-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
Heres how coach Jim Schwartz summed up their effort during...
It was another unimpressive outing for the Detroit Lions in the preseason, falling to the Cleveland Browns 24-6 in a sloppy performance.
First Down: Reggie Bush
Bush was brought into the Lions organization as a replacement for Jahvid Best and potential game changer. While he didn’t change the game last night, he was the only serviceable part of the offense. Carrying the ball eight...
