As I'm sure you heard, today--at 3:00 pm especially--was the last day for teams to make trades in the NBA this season, colloquially known as trade deadline day. Although the Nets were rumored to make a few different deals (Ben Gordon one, Josh Smith one, etc), they actually made no roster moves at all and just watched as other teams pulled trades left and right, albeit mostly not major ones.
The biggest deal was when J.J. Redick of the Magic was sent with Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith to the Milwaukee Bucks for Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb, and Beno Udrih. Redick was rumored to be on the outs in Orlando for awhile now and it was widely believed for around a week now that the Bucks were in on him.
The rest of the deals were mostly minor, although a few former Nets were on the move. First off, Anthony Morrow--sent...

At the center of trade rumors leading up to Thursday’s trade deadline, J.J. Redick thought he was prepared to be dealt to another team, but he wasn’t. The six-year-veteran says he was “shocked” after learning of a trade that would send him to the playoff contending Bucks.
According to Josh Robbins, Orlando Sentinel:
“I think you can prepare yourself as much as you think...
In every sense of the term, the six-player trade that sent J.J. Redick from the Orlando Magic to the Milwaukee Bucks was a business decision.
Redick, having his best season as a pro but on the verge of becoming an unrestricted free agent in July, was dealt Thursday to the Bucks shortly before the NBAs trade deadline. Along with him, the Magic sent guard Ish Smith and forwardcenter...

The Orlando Magic have traded J.J. Redick to the Milwaukee Bucks in a six-player trade just before the NBA's trade deadline, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports first reported.
Facing the deadline and the potential of losing the sharpshooter for nothing as an unrestricted free agent, the Magic were extremely active at the deadline trying to cash in on this asset. Redick was...
DALLAS - He's from Georgia Tech, is buddies with Dwight (for what it's worth) and can shoot the lights out. The Mavs beat the Thursday deadline by trading Dahntay to Atlanta in exchange for Anthony Morrow. 'One of the best shooters in the game,' says Mavs coach Rick Carlisle. DallasBasketball.com's Chuck Perry helps us break down the meaning of it all - talent...
The Orlando Magic have traded lethal shooter J.J. Redick to the Milwaukee Bucks. In return the Magic will receive Doron Lamb, Tobias Harris and Beno Udrih. Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith will also be heading to the Bucks. This trade will ultimately hurt Redick's fantasy value as he won't be the best scorer on the team anymore. In Orlando he was able to take as many shots as...

Sometimes, the best trades are the ones that are never made. At least, thats what some NBA teams are spinning after Thursdays snoozer of a trading deadline.
And some teams are correct. No deal sure beats a bad one, right?
With that in mind, heres who emerged as the post-deadline winners and losers:
Winners: Milwaukee Bucks
OK, despite all the effort and coming very close, the...
Despite being linked to every big name available in the trade market, the San Antonio Spurs stood pat during the trade deadline.
The team was linked to Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, and most recently J.J. Redick, but there's also reports coming out that San Antonio expressed interest in Jason Maxiell from the Detroit Pistons.
