Darren McFadden is considered a top notch running back capable of dominating a game. However, in 2012, former offensive coordinator Greg Knapp went to a zone blocking system, moving away from the power blocking scheme from 2011. The results were poor as McFadden struggled without a lead blocker, and was more effective in the passing game than rushing. New OC Greg Olson wants to get back to what McFadden does best, explode off a lead block and get to the next level. "I'm not naive enough to believe it's all Greg Knapp's fault."  "Certainly there are some things I hope I can bring to the table that will allow us to have success,” Olsen said, via the contracostatimes.com. "Coming in a year ago, they made a switch to a zone system," Olson said. "I don't know if you ever want to pigeonhole yourself that way and say, 'That's what we do.' You may not be able to do that based on the players you have." "There has to be competition," Olson said. "I don't ever think you hand anyone a position from season to season."   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
