RENTON -- Defensive lineman Jason Shirley is new to the Seahawks locker room, but he's not entirely a stranger in town.First, there's Clinton McDonald, his teammate on the defensive line in Cincinnati. Then there's Josh Shirley, his younger brother who's playing for the Washington Huskies.The Seahawks signed Shirley earlier this week, taking the spot on the roster that opened up when cornerback Marcus Trufant was placed on injured reserve. He was a player the Seahawks were originally interested in acquiring from the Bengals in the trade for cornerback Kelly Jennings, but Cincinnati wanted to hold on to Shirley in August only to release him in final roster cuts.Shirley was a fifth-round pick by the Bengals in 2008, played his first season on the defensive line, and switched to offensive guard for a time in 2009.He weighs 345 pounds, and is practicing at nosetackle for the Seahawks.
