For the first time this spring, New York Yankees starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia took the mound in a grapefruit league contest and told reporters he was pleased with his performance. Sabathia is recovering from an elbow surgery procedure he underwent this past offseason to remove a bone spur. Facing the Miami Marlins, Sabathia pitched five innings and 64 pitches. Sabathia expects to be on the mound for the Yankees on Opening Day. “I felt good. Changeup was good, fastball command needs to be a little better, but I feel good for the first time out,” Sabathia told reporters after the game. Manager Joe Giradi added, “He got better as the day went on. So I was happy.”     The post New York Yankees: C.C. Sabathia pleased with debut appeared fir...
