One of the more surprising pieces of MMA news last week was the announcement that former Bellator lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez had decided to resign with Bellator and would meet Michael Chandler in a rematch of their epic encounter from 2011. The rematch was announced as the co-main event of Bellator’s inaugural PPV event, which is set for November 2nd.
Media members and fans alike have been speculating as to the reasons behind Alvarez’s decision to drop the lawsuit and rejoin the company.
