Since bursting on the scene with a 48-point rookie season, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers has staged one of the most dramatic statistical collapses in recent NHL memory. He slipped 37 points the following season, then 23 points in 55 games 2011-12 and just eight in 39 games last season. Try as he might, long-time Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff could not revive. Now Ron Rolston is giving it a try. The two developed a positive working relationship after Rolston replaced Ruff on the Sabres bench.“For me, I thought it went really well with Ron the way we communicated with each other,” Myers told WGR 550 radio. "He was really positive with me, and the bottom line is I've got to be a lot better than I was this year. I think Ron helped out with that since he came in, I thought I got better towards the end of the year.”Myers actually worked on his conditioning over the summer, hoping to reverse his epic slide. It will be interesting chart his progress – or lack thereof – as the Sabres hit their rest
