Found October 16, 2013 on Eagles Faithful:
Nick Foles has been named NFC Player of the Week. Foles lit up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the tune of 296 yards and three touchdowns on 22/31 passing. Foles also ran for a fourth touchdown. Foles follows up teammate DeSean Jackson as the Eagles have back-to-back player of the week awards. The second-year quarterback looks to receive his second consecutive start Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys. As a starting quarterback, Foles has two career wins, both versus the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. The Arizona product will look to improve upon a stellar season, as he has thrown for 542 yards and six touchdowns with zero interceptions. Foles has a completion percentage of 67.2 percent and a quarterback rating of 127.9. Foles will look to take a hold of the quarterback situation with another stellar performance as Michael Vick sits with a hamstring injury. A win over the Cowboys at home on Sunday would vault the Eagles to sole possession of first place in the NFC East and make head coach Chip K...

Eagles vs. Bucs Week 6 WTF and WTG Awards

Nick Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to their third win of the season in beating the Bucs at home, 31-20.  There were plenty of positives to take from the game yesterday, but there were still some nagging negatives. Let’s get right to it… Things that made me say WTG! (the positives) – AP Photo/Chris O’Meara Of course we have to start with Nick Foles.  For the most part...

Monday Review: It starts at the line for Eagles

The Eagles offensive line protected Nick Foles on his three touchdown passes, including a second-quarter strike to DeSean Jackson. Forget the final score for a moment. Take Nick Foles out of the equation. There was a reason the Eagles won this game on Sunday. Does it have to do with a great performance by Foles? Yes. Does it have to do with some timely defensive stops? Yes.  Does...

Nick Foles taking first team snaps for Eagles

getty images Nick Foles was spotted taking the first team snaps for the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday. Similar to last week Foles is taking the first team snaps with Matt Barkley operating second and Michael Vick third. This is not exactly a surprise after Vick said he still away from being 100 percent. Drills are same as last week: Foles first, Barkley second, Vick third. #EaglesTalk...

Are Eagles Better Off With Michael Vick or Nick Foles?

The Eagles have had a number of problems this season. However, they finally have a good problem. They have two very capable quarterbacks who can win football games. The only issue is which quarterback to go with moving forward. It used to be an unwritten rule that you couldn’t lose your job due to injury. I hope Michael Vick doesn’t believe that. Let’s remember that Vick took...

Fantasy Football: Week 7 start ‘em sit ‘em QB

Start Nick Foles vs. Cowboys. Foles is going to be the starter this week against one of the worst defenses in the league. I’m sure Cowboys’ ex-D.C. Rob Ryan is the first one laughing at this group of defensive backs allowing a league-worst 347 yards-per-game to opposing QBs. Start Tony Romo @ Eagles. Ok, so this game is obviously going to be a shoot-out. The Eagles’ pass defense...

Foles Likely to Get Another Start on Sunday

Eagles QB Nick Foles will likely start the Eagles’ next game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Michael Vick reportedly isn’t coming along too well with his hamstring injury. Vick, when questioned after practice yesterday, expressed that he and the team were approaching the injury cautiously. “I’ve just got to make sure I’m 100 percent,” Vick said. FOX’s Howard Eskin...

2013 NFL Scouting: Is Nick Foles the Answer for Chip Kelly and the Eagles?

During the course of the 2013 preseason, in Philadelphia it was obvious that Nick Foles was nothing more than the backup quarterback. Michael Vick seemed tailor made for the Chip Kelly offense, and he'd decidedly out-played Foles throughout the summer. Even with Foles leading the Eagles to a win over the Giants, Kelly and the Eagles coaching staff seemed to be sticking...

Philadelphia Eagles: Nick Foles gives Philly the best chance to win

Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles are a faced with a situation that most head coaches hate to be faced with, a quarterback controversy. Who does Chip Kelly start next week is the biggest question surrounding the NFL going into week 7. It goes without saying this has been the case for the past two […]

Michael Vick: ‘I’m not playing this week’

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick told the media Thursday after practice at the NovaCare Complex that his injured hamstring is still not 100 percent, and he wont be playing Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. “I’m not playing this week,” said Vick. “Every day I’m just working and trying to get better. I just can’t rush it.” Vick

The Great Debate: Michael Vick or Nick Foles?

Michael Vick: Injury ‘worse than what I thought’

It became evident earlier this week that Nick Foles would be the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback when they take on the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. It’s not clear how much time, if any, Michael Vick will miss beyond the Dallas game, but he told reporters — including Reuben Frank of CSN Philly — that the hamstring injury that’s sidelined him is worse than he initially thought...

Tough Week For the 'Boys?

Week 7 may prove to be a doozy for the Boys this week. Sunday, Dallas will go up against their division rivals, The Phillidelphia Eagles to see which team walks away from the field the leader in the NFC East. With Dallas' main components temporarily out of commission, we may see our Cowboys gritting their teeth on the grid iron to hold off their rivals. As of now, backup...

Chip Kelly Says He’s Waiting To Evaluate Mike Vick’s Health

Even after Nick Foles brilliant performance against the Buccaneers, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly still won’t name a starter for this week’s game. Kelly also let it be known during Monday press conference that he wouldn’t make that decision until he was able to evaluate Michael Vick’s health. Chip Kelly says he's still waiting to evaluate Michael Vick's full health...
