Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi
John Obi Mikel could be set for a Chelsea exit after Turkish side Galatasaray table a £10million bidfor the Nigerian midfielder.
Mikel’s Stamford Bridge future has been in question all summer, with the Nigerian international missing out on both of Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixtures this term.
Napoli and Monaco have also both shown interest in Mikel during the transfer window, but it looks as though Turkey could be the 26–year-old’s next destination, where he would link up with former team-mate Didier Drogba.
The Blues are not short of central midfielders, with Frank Lampard and Ramires being utilised in the deeper role in the opening two games of the season, while Michael Essien has been on the bench for the Blues.
Chelsea have a more attacking style about their play and the loss of Mikel will surely not affect the team too much.
