Ryan O'Halloran, the Jacksonville Jaguars beat writer for the Florida Times-Union, reported Tuesday evening on Twitter that cornerback Rashean Mathis was told by the team today that he would not be offered a new contract for next season.
Mathis, who played 10 season in Jacksonville after being drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft, had his best games with the Jaguars against the Steelers.
In 2005, Mathis intercepted then-Steelers quarterback Tommy Maddox in overtime of the Week 7 game and returned it for a game-winning touchdown. If that wasn't enough, he also partially Read more [...]

Former Steelers LB James Farrior Makes Top 20 List Of Best Free Agent Signings In NFL History
Jim Reineking of NFL.com posted a photo essay on Wednesday of his top 20 free-agent signings in NFL history. I was a little hesitant to even flip through it for fear that he would not include Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Farrior in his list. Surprisingly, he did.
Reineking ranked Farrior 14th overall, which is more than fair, in my opinion.
Farrior remains the best free...

Last year’s Football Camp welcomed over 500 children from the surrounding southern California communities. The proceeds will help serve even more children with help and continued support...
2013 rebuild far different from 2009
This will once again be a rebuilding year for the Jacksonville Jaguars. I can already feel your eyes rolling as you read that first statement, but it doesn't make it any less true. Still, this season should bring a new level of energy to a fan base that has been given nothing but poor cliches and terrible products on the field. That actually may change this year.
There will...

Steelers have yet to reach an agreement.
Still, Harrison’s agent Bill Parise told reporters...
PFF: 49ers roster has the most value in the league; Jaguars have the least
Based on what players did in 2012 alone compared to the amount of money they counted against the salary cap, the super-awesome guys at Pro Football Focus ranked all 32 NFL teams based on the amount of value they got out of their rosters this past season.
And unsurprisingly, the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers led the way, with four playoff teams joining them in the top five...

His agent, Bill Parise, won't tell you if the Steelers want Harrison to take a pay cut, but we're sure it's been discussed. “I really don't want to talk about negotiations in the media," he said, via Alan Robinson of the...
Fantasy Breakdown: Jones-Drew 2013
In all my years of playing fantasy football, I’ve somehow managed to avoid owning Maurice Jones-Drew entirely. It hasn’t been for lack of opportunity. If I had to guess, I’ve played in more than 40 leagues in the seven years since MJD came into the league. I like plenty of short people. Folks with hyphens in their last names only bother me a little. So why have I gone out of...

The Pittsburgh Steelers were expected to part ways with Willie Colon, but it appears the left guard isn't going anywhere for the time being.
