But seriously, how many bodies are we gonna stack up at that position before the season is over? It's gonna get where NFL players will be opting for welfare, rather than playing for the EAGLES at MLB. "Nah brah. The last dude y'all signed ended up with a colostomy bag. I'll pass!"

Maybe the position is jinxed this year. So let's all resolve to call it something else. Tweenbacker maybe. Or how about Tackle Central? Eye of the Hurricane has a nice ring to it, but purist will say it doesn't tell you the guys position. Gap Shooting Missile has my vote. It may not have a purist approved name, but it certainly tells you what his job is.

So let's protect our players from the Middle Linebacker position, and hopefully when Trotter gets himself back into game shape, our GSM will be able to finally hoist the Lombardi as an EAGLE.
