The Denver Nuggets have hired Arturas Karnisovas to serve as assistant general manager.
Karnisovas (Car-NISH-oh-vas) will help new general manager Tim Connelly and team president Josh Kroenke with day-to-day operations related to scouting and player personnel matters.
Karnisovas, 42, spent the last five years with the Houston Rockets, most recently as their scouting director. He started with the Rockets as an international scout after spending four years in basketball operations in the NBA's league office.
Prior to working in the NBA, Karnisovas had an impressive international playing career. After attending Seton Hall from 1990-94, he helped Lithuania win Olympic bronze medals in 1992 and `96 and played professionally for Barcelona, Bologna, Olympiakos and Athens, reaching the Euroleague Final Four three times.

Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried, who posed in ESPN the Magazine’s “Body Issue” this year, recently got a bit drunk during a night out on the city before being approached by a TMZ camera. When asked if he was nervous during the Body Issue photoshoot, a tipsy Faried said “No, my d*ck is big.”
Then, he proceeded to hold a copy up to the camera and boast about how great...
Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames. Like most other athletes who have agreed to pose nude for ESPN the Magazine’s “Body Issue,” Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried is very comfortable in his own skin. When a TMZ reporter caught up with him as he was leaving Lure nightclub in Hollywood on Tuesday night, Faried [...]
At least Andre Miller is realistic about his team's chances next season.
The Denver Nuggets point guard joined the NBA TV broadcast team Tuesday to talk about the franchise's offseason -- which saw the firing of reigning Coach of the Year George Karl, the departure of reigning Executive of the Year Masai Ujiri for Toronto, major knee surgery for star forward Danilo Gallinari...
We want our athletes to be totally honest, but can someone be too honest?
Andre Miller has been in the NBA a long, and he’s never been good at sugar-coating things anyway, so we should have expected this answer.
The Denver Nuggets won 57 games last season, were a juggernaut, and had a coach and executive win the leagues highest honors.
Miller was at the NBA Summer League in Vegas...
The ESPYS are taking place Wednesday night in LA. One of the premiere pre-ESPYS events is the Body by ESPYS party to celebrate ESPN the magazine’s “Body issue.” Nuggets star Kenneth Faried is one of the issue’s cover boys. A TMZ paparazzo caught up with Denver Nuggets and ESPN The Body Issue Cover Boy Kenneth Faried as he was leaving a party and what occurred is probably the most entertaining 2 minutes you will see this morning. The interview is great on so many levels, for one, Fareid tells some guy he is drunk (and its pretty obvious) and the fact that the paparazzo has no idea who he is talking...
TMZ caught up with Kenneth Faried Monday night outside the Playboy Mansion in LA as he exited the pre-ESPY BTE All-Star Celebrity Kick-Off Party, and the Nuggets star was not shy at all – especially when referencing his body parts and his ESPN Body Issue cover.
“No, [I wasn't nervous shooting in the nude], my d*** is big! Yeah, there were chicks around me [while posing],...
The Denver Nuggets have a much different look heading into the 2013-2014 season. They have lost Andre Iguodala via free agency and the team chose not to give George Karl a contract extension. Simply put, the Nuggets have a lot to overcome. Last season, Karl was able to lead Denver to a 57-win season despite [...]
The Denver Nuggets have had a very eventful off-season, and not for the better. Coming off a franchise-record 57 wins in 2012-2013, the Nuggets have parted ways with head coach George Karl, general manager Masai Uriji, and most recently, star forward Andre Iguodala, who left for the Golden State Warriors. The players that remain are undoubtedly talented, but they will have a hard...
